The Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city of Kurakhovo in the DPR are threatened with encirclement due to the inability to retreat to the north. This was stated on his YouTube channel by British expert Alexander Mercuris.

"Ukrainian troops cannot retreat from Kurakhovo to the north, as the Kurakhovo reservoir is on their way," said Merkouris, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, the Russian army is coming very close to the settlements around the city, which puts Kurakhovo at risk of encirclement, the expert emphasized.

As EADaily reported, after the Russian units from the Vostok grouping completed the cleanup of the liberated Ugledar, the main goal of our offensive on this segment of the front is the enemy fortified area in Bogoyavlenka.

The enemy side confirms the intensification of our attacks east of Ugledar, where the Russians were able to advance between Vodiane and Katerina. In addition, Russian attack aircraft made a throw from the Ostrogo district (west of Krasnogorovka). They gained a foothold in the eastern outskirts of Ostrovskoye settlement, from where they entered the northern part of Maksimilianovka, where fierce battles are currently taking place. Thus, the Russian troops were able to reach the Volchya River east of Kurakhovo from the south and take under fire control the supply route passing there between Kurakhovo and the settlements of Gornyak and Kurakhovka.
