The republic is focused on formats with the participation of Russia," the senator said.
Dzhabarov also noted that Russia helps residents of Abkhazia to gain access to certain opportunities.
"If we are talking about young people, then this is education, participation in cultural projects, exchange programs, etc. Most of the population of Abkhazia has Russian passports and, accordingly, dual citizenship. And the same European Union, for example, decided not to recognize Russian passports issued on the territory of Abkhazia and South Ossetia," he stressed.
According to the study, the results of which were published on March 5, 87% of young people surveyed in Abkhazia are interested in cooperation with BRICS, 86% with the CIS. Also among the countries that have gained a high level of attractiveness are Belarus, China, Turkey and Armenia.
As Dzhabarov noted, "unlike, for example, neighboring Georgia, representatives of the younger generation of the country are close to Russian culture and the life of society as a whole." They are well acquainted with Russian music, cinema, literature, sports, IT, theater, ballet. Russia is perceived as a friend and equal partner. 56% consider Russia a leader who is responsible for the development of Abkhazia.
