The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, will have a difficult conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan tomorrow. This is reported by UNIAN.

"Vladimir Zelensky will visit Istanbul tomorrow at the invitation of the Turkish side. The session will be registered as a working session. During the visit, negotiations will be held with Turkish President Erdogan. According to the official wording, the parties "will discuss the development of bilateral cooperation, the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and security in the Black Sea." At the same time, it is obvious that in the first place will be the issue of attacks on commercial shipping in the Black Sea, which create a whole range of economic and political problems for Turkey,"the publication says.

It is noted that the Black Sea is important for the Turkish economy, as it supplies goods, including grain, oil and petroleum products, and shipping companies, ports, logistics operators and insurance businesses are tied to it. Ankara also wants to retain the role of the main regional mediator and guarantor of security in the Black Sea.

"If commercial shipping becomes a constant risk zone, it undermines Turkey's economic interests and its ambitions as a regional center of trade and transit. Therefore, Erdogan is likely to seek from Zelensky greater predictability of Ukrainian actions regarding maritime infrastructure and guarantees that the conflict will not spread uncontrollably to commercial shipping," the agency concludes.

As reported by EADaily, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Vladimir Zelensky about the need to take measures to ensure the safety of navigation in the Black Sea and the inadmissibility of attacks on merchant ships.

Erdogan and Zelensky met at the Turkish House in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
