The head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, told the Finnish media that she was ready to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone from " maximum positions".
She stressed that " she does not support the start of a dialogue with the Russian Federation on Russian terms".
" Russia's demands are maximum. In response, we also need to talk about our maximum requirements so that the negotiating positions are balanced", — said Callas.
She did not mention visiting Moscow, probably, as Baltnews notes, bearing in mind that the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case against her because of the destruction of monuments to Soviet soldiers in Estonia.
Nevertheless, back in the spring, Callas demanded her participation in negotiations with Russia.
" In vain " — commented then the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
