The parliamentary faction "Alternatives for Germany" (AfD) in the Bundestag filed a police report against German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The AdG reported this on its page in the social network.

"The reason was the Chancellor's speech during the budget discussion in the Bundestag, during which he accused the AfD faction that, speaking of "remigration," it promotes "nothing but ethnic cleansing by skin color and origin," the statement said.

Parliamentary secretary of the faction Stefan Brandner noted that Merz "crossed the line again" and this time his statements lie in the area of criminal responsibility. He called the chancellor's words "completely unacceptable." At the same time, he stressed that the AfD faction operates on the basis of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Recall that the concept of "remigration" originally came from research in the field of migration and is used by right-wing extremists who mean that a large number of people of foreign origin should leave the country, including forcibly. At the same time, the "Alternative for Germany", using this term, always emphasizes that it is not about German citizens, but only about the return to their homeland of foreigners obliged to leave the country, within the framework of the Basic Law.
