Thanks to the special regime introduced on Russian Island near Vladivostok, assets totaling 6.2 trillion rubles were returned to Russia from abroad.

This was reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev, who concurrently serves as the plenipotentiary of the Russian leader in the Far Eastern Federal District.

"The special administrative regime helped to return to Russia has assets of 138 companies totaling 6.2 trillion rubles," the minister informed.

As the RIA Novosti news agency reports, the head of state asked how it was possible to achieve such impressive results. Trutnev replied that the main role was played by the growth of trust in the motherland.

He also noted that the flexible tax and currency regulation regime introduced on the island also contributed. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, thanks to the measures introduced, 86 billion taxes have already been collected.
