Courts in Poland have decided to apply the so-called search arrest against 14 of the 40 Russian forensic medical experts who conducted autopsies of the bodies of those killed in the Smolensk disaster. This is reported by local media.
It is reported that the courts refused to use arrest against 26 experts, while six such decisions have not yet entered into force. The prosecutor's office appealed against these decisions, and the Warsaw District Court will consider the complaints on August 28. 14 Russian doctors have already been put on the wanted list.
Recall, on April 10, 2010, 96 people were killed near Smolensk as a result of the Tu-154M plane crash, including Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife, representatives of the country's top leadership and the command of the Polish Army. Warsaw has repeatedly tried to blame Russia for what happened. but each time they could not find any evidence of this. The Polish prosecutor's office has already investigated the case of "violations" in the Russian medical documentation. In particular, based on this, it was decided to exhume the bodies of those killed in the disaster, which ended in 2018. According to the Polish side, cases of substitution of eight bodies were allegedly revealed during the exhumations.
