The singer, People's Artist of Russia Valery Leontiev yesterday took part in a creative evening dedicated to the Soviet and Latvian composer Raymond Pauls, which was held as part of the New Wave festival in Kazan.
Leontiev opened his performance with the legendary composition "Sunny days have Disappeared," then he performed the song "Eclipse of the Heart," RIA Novosti clarifies.
Then an unexpected surprise was presented to the public — the song "Vernissage", which Leontiev had previously performed with the Latvian singer Laima Vaikule, he sang with the singer Seville (Seville Veliyeva). For the finale of his performance, Leontiev chose the composition "Green Light".
"I must admit to you that I missed you very much. Today's concert, today's show is a real big celebration for those who have chosen a song as their most important musical attachment in life," Leontiev said, addressing the audience.
As reported by EADaily, Leontiev, who now lives in the USA, flew to the rehearsals of the New Wave contest the day before. He appeared on the court with his team.
"Hello! Today I will sing Raymond Pauls songs," Leontiev said, smiling at journalists.
Leontiev had two performances planned as part of the festival. The next time he will take the stage on Tuesday, August 25, at the gala concert of the stars.
