Russia must defeat the Armed Forces of Ukraine by 2030 in order to then prepare for a possible clash with NATO countries. This was announced today, August 24, by the "Newspaper.<url>" member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Lieutenant General, former commander of the 58th Army Viktor Sobolev.
"The fascist regime needs to be dealt with until Poland and other NATO countries are ready for war with Russia. Poles, Germans, French, British, Belgium, Norway, Finland, Sweden — all want to fight Russia, inflict a strategic defeat on it. Of course, there is an information component here, first of all for their own peoples, which they are preparing for war, but there is also serious preparation for war with Russia. By this time, by 2030, we must fully complete the special military operation on Ukraine. To conclude, as the president said, with the victory of our armed forces, an absolute victory," the parliamentarian said.
Sobolev stressed that after the victory in Ukraine, it will be necessary to rebuild the armed forces "so that they are ready to repel the aggression of any geopolitical adversary in any strategic direction and in any conditions."
