A drunk Ukrainian crashed ten cars on a beach in the Silesian voivodeship. This is reported by the radio station RMF24.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 15, at the Dzerzhno-Duzhe reservoir in Upper Silesia.
"Saturday afternoon on the beach in Zhecice will be remembered for a long time by the owners of cars parked there. A 30-year-old citizen of Ukraine in a state of alcoholic intoxication, driving a Volvo, damaged 10 cars. Fortunately, thanks to the decisive reaction of beach visitors, the man was detained until the police arrived, " the publication says.
It is noted that the Volvo driver crashed into parked cars. Two motorhomes and eight cars were damaged. Their owners came to the lake from different cities and voivodeships of Poland.
As it turned out, the culprit of the accident had more than 1.8 ppm of alcohol in his body. In addition, he had a court ban on driving any vehicles.
Eyewitnesses tried to stop the driver, but they had to run away from the speeding Volvo in order not to be hit. In the end, the man got stuck between parked cars. After that, visitors to the beach took away his car keys and detained him.
The Ukrainian faces 8 years in prison.
