The explosion occurred at one of the storage tanks of the storage area, as a result of which about 50 cubic meters of tall oil, a by—product of pulp production, spilled onto the territory of the plant. After the incident, Stora Enso said they would find out the circumstances of the accident after the cleanup of the territory was completed. The company also announced the suspension of the plant for damage assessment and repair work.
