Our awardees are a vivid confirmation of this," the message says.
Lyubimova specified that 24 cultural figures were awarded departmental awards, including writer, member of the Writers' Union of Russia Rostislav Ishchenko, artist, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Alexander Turkan, composer, member of the Union of Composers of Eurasia, Honored Artist of Russia Oleg Kaledin, leading opera soloist (stage master) of the State Academic Mariinsky Theater Vyacheslav Vasiliev, director of photography Ruslan Gerasimenkov and others.
The departmental award of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation — the Alexander Tvardovsky Medal was established in 2025. It is awarded to figures of culture, art and creative industries for their significant contribution to the implementation of creative projects in the conditions of military operations and under other circumstances involving a risk to life. And also for merits in the implementation of creative projects reflecting the power of art in raising the spirit and strengthening the moral guidelines of society.
