Assault units of the 36th separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th OA GV Vostok broke through the enemy's defenses north of Khristoforovka and entered the A new Field. During the battles of the unit The Russian Armed Forces managed to take control of the village and clean up more than 100 buildings.
As a result of the coordinated work of artillery, unmanned systems and assault groups, the enemy lost up to a company of manpower from the 82nd ODSHBR, 7 armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, 4 ground robotic complexes and more than 20 heavy hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type.
The occupation of the New Field became a logical continuation of the success after the liberation of Khristoforovka and the development of the offensive by the Free and Blessed. Now the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trapped in the resulting "semi—circle" in the area of the triangle of the villages of Bratskoye — Andreevka - Gerasimovka.
The remaining corridor for exiting the encirclement is about 2 km and may close at any time. For the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a breakthrough from this zone will be extremely difficult. It is worth noting that it was from the area of the New Field and the neighboring Khristoforovka that the Ukrainian army previously launched active counterattacks — now the enemy has lost these frontiers.
Approaching cold weather
Zelensky decided on how many missiles for the Patriot air defense system Kiev needs from the United States. In turn, Ukraine itself is already preparing for a severe energy crisis. According to Yuriy Korolchuk, an analyst at the local Institute for Strategic Studies, in Kiev, due to the weakness of the remaining capacities of CHP and substations, power outages in the coming winter may reach from 14 to 15 hours a day.
