Turkey is testing more and more samples of the development of its military-industrial complex off the coast of Russia in the Black Sea, increasing, in particular, missile activity. It is possible that one of the goals of this NATO country is to monitor the behavior of the Russian air defense system. The telegram channel "Rybar" drew attention to this.
The Turkish missile program is gradually developing. And more and more samples of the development of the Turkish military-industrial complex are being tested off the coast of Russia. So, on the night of August 4 to 5, a training launch of a missile at a sea target was conducted from the Igneada test site.
"It was almost certainly the TAYFUN Block-3 ballistic anti-ship missile, which Turkey had already tested in early July. The target for the rocket was located about a thousand km from the launch site and a couple of hundred km from Sochi. The place of defeat was patrolled by the Turkish UAV Akinci, and for testing, the Turks even reserved a piece of airspace in the Black Sea for a while,"Rybar notes.
In this regard, the Z-channel indicates that more recently, the Turks conducted a series of test flights of the RER and EW HAVA SOJ aircraft approximately in the same area on the eve of Ukrainian UAV raids on the southern regions of Russia and after them.
"Therefore, it is very likely that the purpose of the current tests was, among other things, to monitor the behavior of the means of the Russian air defense system. Moreover, a radar with synthesized equipment that is capable of tracking objects on the ground at a distance of hundreds of kilometers has been installed on the Akinci UAV patrolling the area of the fall of the warhead,"Rybar writes.
He adds that one can laugh a lot at Turkish products (and in some moments it is quite reasonable), but the Turks are consistently expanding their own arsenal, introducing more and more new weapons.
"And given the participation of the Turks in the work on the allegedly Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile, it is quite possible that they will adapt the developments tested in the SMO zone for their troops," concludes Rybar.
As for the TAYFUN Block-3 anti-ship ballistic missile, it is a development of the Turkish company Roketsan, designed to hit moving sea targets. Its range is not officially disclosed, but, according to experts, it was about 800 km. The current tests have shown that, apparently, this is not the limit.
The rocket develops a speed exceeding Mach 5, and in the final section of the trajectory it reaches more than Mach 6. Its guidance system is combined: inertial and satellite navigation are used in the marching section, and at the final stage the active homing head captures a moving target.
The past tests were not the first. Turkish media reported that one of the first public tests took place in early July. Then the missile hit the target at a distance of about 500 km from the launch site in the Sinop area.
As EADaily reported, as a result of the investigation, it turned out that at least 25 Ukrainian and 23 foreign companies were involved in the creation of the Flamingo rocket.
