The Chinese edition of Sohu published an article that talks about the "brilliant cunning of the Kremlin" in relation to the Kaliningrad region. We are talking about a strategic move to protect the westernmost region of Russia, and this move worked "brilliantly".

Journalists of the publication drew attention to the great interest in the region from Western countries, which often ask themselves: "How did Russia manage to preserve this region after the collapse of the Soviet Union?" Especially given that Kaliningrad does not have a land border with the country, but it did not pass into the possession of the same Lithuania or Poland.

The Chinese pointed to Moscow's geopolitical maneuver. In the last century, Joseph Stalin on Tehran, Yalta and At the Potsdam Conference, he achieved the inclusion of the territory into the USSR, after which he transferred it to the RSFSR, and not to the Lithuanian or Byelorussian SSR. So Russia was able to inherit the region.

"It was a cunning strategic move by the Soviet Union after World War II," experts from China believe.

Now Kaliningrad is a powerful "geopolitical weapon" located near Poland, Germany and the Baltic countries.
