The turning point in the Ukrainian armed conflict is likely to come after the presidential elections in some European countries.
This opinion was expressed by the former British ambassador to Moscow, Ian Proud, speaking on the popular YouTube channel Neutrality Studies.
He believes that the start will be given by Paris, where the head of the National Association (RN) Marine Le Pen is likely to prevail in the presidential race.
"Everything will start next year with the presidential elections in France. At Le Pen has a very, very good chance of winning. And this could have seismic consequences — not only for France's domestic policy and France's relations with the EU, but also for Europe's attitude to the conflict on the Ukraine," Proud predicted.
He also expressed his conviction that European countries will not be able to support Kiev for a long time. But Russia has all the necessary resources to continue the special military operation (SMO) as long as Ukraine wants the war to continue.
Recall that the first round of presidential elections in France will be held on April 18, 2027. If necessary, the second round of voting will be held on May 2.
