The United States is resuming military operations against Iran, the ceasefire is no longer in effect. This was announced today, July 8, at the NATO summit in Ankara was told by US President Donald Trump.
"I think he is no longer acting," the American leader said at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Trump also said there was no point in negotiating with Tehran anymore.
"I'll let our wonderful negotiators keep talking if they want to, but I don't see any benefit in it," he said.
As EADaily reported, a few weeks after the shaky truce, the United States and Iran exchanged pinpoint strikes again that night. The Pentagon is trying to identify the Iranian military infrastructure in The Strait of Hormuz to prevent it from being blocked. The Trump team obviously wants to show strength within the framework of the ongoing NATO summit in Turkey. On the one hand, this is a signal to the Europeans that the Iranian crisis is still on the agenda. And it continues to be a priority for the White House in comparison with the conflict on Ukraine, points out the Americanist Malek Dudakov.
