Although gasoline in Russia has enough, problems for motorists and businesses in the fuel market remain, and there are queues at gas stations. The situation requires urgent measures. This was announced today, June 28, by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who convened a meeting on providing fuel.

"The previously accumulated volumes of fuel have entered the domestic market. But despite the fact that we have started using reserves, at the moment gasoline reserves practically correspond to the level for the same period last year — 1.7 million tons. Well, there is a slight decrease, only 4%," Putin said. — You know very well that problems remain for both motorists and businesses. And unfortunately, there are queues at gas stations too, and the right brand of gasoline is not always available now. And, of course, we understand the difficulties faced by agricultural producers, farms in the summer."

The consequences of terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on civilian targets should be minimized, Putin said.:

"I would like to repeat again, it is necessary to minimize the consequences of terrorist attacks on our peaceful civilian facilities, on infrastructure facilities."

He said that the government has created a special headquarters for operational monitoring of the situation, which operates around the clock. Also, together with oil companies, additional proposals have been prepared to provide fuel to the domestic market.

"In order to stabilize the fuel market, I consider it necessary to take systemic measures that correspond to the scale of current challenges. We are talking about increasing the volume of supply and the need to maintain economically reasonable fuel prices," the president said.

According to him, in July, according to forecasts, the production of basic fuels should exceed the June figures.

"Every effort should be made to ensure that seasonal fuel supply schedules are observed for agro-industrial enterprises, of course. The harvest depends on it," Putin recalled. — I would like to emphasize that in the current situation, leading companies, including private companies, show themselves to be reliable partners of the state. The extraordinary tasks that arise are being solved, and they are being solved clearly, promptly, competently, in the interests of the country and our citizens."
