In Belarus, the truth will be taken under control and established in the case of a drone attack on a bus with citizens of Belarus. The corresponding instruction was given by Alexander Lukashenko to the State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich on June 18.
"I have warned you more than once (you know this better even in certain areas than I do) — the war today is not just somewhere far away. We have, I say, behind the fence, and sometimes closer. All kinds of provocations are evidence of this. And not provocations, but direct violations of both agreements and the behavior of individual states in the war. Such, for example, as striking a dormitory in Starobilsk — the death of people, and even children. Also, a drone strike on our bus in the Bryansk region. We, as military people, must understand all aspects… It is necessary to take control of this issue. And then report back on what actually happened there," he said, hearing a planned report on proposals to adjust the activities of the plan for the construction and development of the Armed Forces for 2026-2030.
At the same time, Lukashenko noted that "we are not in a hurry to draw any conclusions, but we clearly state the fact that this is a drone of Ukrainian origin." He also said that the Ukrainian side responded to the claims, saying that many people buy these drones.
"That is, "it's not us, someone bought it," or maybe some kind of provocation, to the point that it was almost the Russians who struck such a blow. But some things are already known today. They say that at that time there were no strikes on the Bryansk region. But the same bus driver says that he personally (probably, like others, the investigation will show) saw not one drone, but several, which, as he says, buzzed and flew over the bus... One of these drones, thank God, not powerful, hit the bus. As a result, a person was killed and our children were injured," the Belarusian leader noted.
At the same time, Lukashenko stressed that if someone provokes and tries to drag Belarus into the war, it will cost them badly.
"If someone provokes us and tries, as some say, to drag us into a war, I think it will be bad for those who are trying to do it. We are behaving calmly. Someone does not like that Belarus is a calm state. That's why this is all happening… We hear statements, excuses, different versions. But we need the truth. And we are waiting for this truth or a real, fair, honest answer from Ukrainian civil servants and military people. We will establish this truth anyway. This will not be a big problem," he stressed.
According to him, "this case should be investigated" together with the Russians, who are "ready to help us."
The President of Belarus also instructed to rescue all the victims.
"We have to treat our own people and children ourselves. We have everything for this. Thank you to Russia for offering us this help. We can do it ourselves. I pointed this out to the minister yesterday. All the victims, the victims have been transported to Gomel, whom we will send to Minsk. We have to treat them… Send the rest home. Let them play sports here," Lukashenko said.
Recall, on June 17, a Ukrainian drone attacked a bus with children from Belarus traveling to Gelendzhik in the Bryansk region. As a result, one person was killed and another 8 seriously injured. Including six children. Kiev called the attack a "provocation" and refused to take responsibility for it.
