The facility of the Moscow Oil Refinery (MNPZ) was damaged as a result of the ongoing drone attack on Moscow. This was stated by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
"The attack of enemy drones on Moscow has been going on for the last day. One of the drones damaged the MNPZ facility. There are no casualties. Emergency services are working at the scene," Sobyanin wrote in his telegram channel at 9.38 Moscow time.
A little earlier, he informed that "25 unmanned vehicles were destroyed by the Defense Ministry's air defense system." Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site.
Z-bloggers of the telegram channel "Two Majors" report that "the number of UAVs shot down since midnight on approach to Moscow has increased to 60." The enemy is distributing footage of the arrival and fire at the refinery."
"In dense urban areas, the safe operation of air defense is almost impossible, so there should have been attempts to shoot it down at the final stage of the flight. In total, more than 60 drones were shot down on our approach," the "Two Majors" state.
Moscow Oil Refinery (Gazpromneft-MNPZ JSC) — this is one of the largest enterprises in Russia, located in the Kapotnya district. Its refining capacity is 11 million tons of oil per year. The plant provides about 40% of the Moscow fuel market and 70% of the needs of the Moscow region in gasoline and jet fuel.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported 172 enemy UAVs shot down overnight. In the Krasnodar Territory, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the village of Poltava, Krasnoarmeysky district. The foreign press, after recent arrivals, declares that it has stopped production of the Tatneft refinery in Nizhnekamsk, military correspondents add.
As EADaily reported, the APU also hit the oil depot supplying the filling station in Krasnodar Territory in the village of Poltava. Poltava oil depot accepts the products of oil refineries, in particular Lukoil enterprises, and then redistributes it through the networks of filling stations (gas stations) in the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea. The village of Poltavskaya itself is located 80 km west of Krasnodar, between the regional center and the coast of the Sea of Azov. It is about 385 km from the front line.
