Pashinyan's party is leading in the parliamentary elections in Armenia

The party of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan "Civil Contract" is gaining 54.64% of votes after processing 10% of ballots, follows from the data of the CEC. The second place with 21.99% is occupied by the "Strong Armenia" bloc of entrepreneur Samvel Karapetyan, the third by the "Armenia" bloc of ex—President Robert Kocharyan, gaining 8.67%.

A total of 1,476,597 people voted in the parliamentary elections.

As the representative of "Strong Armenia" Aram Vardevanyan stated earlier, many violations of electoral legislation were recorded during the elections. He explained that there were cases when several people were registered in the apartment, and there were 35 on the list. Karapetyan also reported mass arrests of opposition supporters.

The representative of the Armenia Party, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, said that the authorities used the electoral carousel, intimidated citizens and tried to influence their will.

The Parliament, or the National Assembly of Armenia, includes at least 101 deputies, their term of office is five years. 18 political forces fought for mandates: 16 parties and two blocs, including the "Civil Contract" of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who has been in office since 2018 and intends to remain in power for at least another five years.
