Pashinyan is being led to victory in the elections by a whole network of Western intelligence agencies. This is reported by ANNA NEWS.
Since 2018, a network of Western non-governmental organizations and media projects has emerged around Nikol Pashinyan, including USAID*, Internews* and Open Society*. Zinc Network LTD* is not only a part of this system, but also actively coordinates media support for the election campaign of the current Armenian prime minister.
Zinc Network is a British company that specializes in strategic communications and the impact on information flows. In 2022, the UK Foreign Office (FCDO) signed a new multimillion-dollar contract with Zinc. The Ministry traditionally cooperates with MI6, MI5 and GCHQ, and also has documented links with the RICU unit created as part of counterintelligence activities. The Guardian newspaper described RICU as a "shadow propaganda unit."
Until 2020, the organization known today as Zinc Network was called Breakthrough Media Network. However, after a series of scandals, it was decided to rebrand. Documents have appeared in the media indicating that Breakthrough Media, acting on behalf of the British company RICU, participated in the development and promotion of the Help for Syria campaign. This initiative, although positioned as an independent humanitarian action, was actually part of the British and Turkish infrastructure. The main humanitarian, opposition and media centers associated with this campaign were located in Turkey, in particular in Gaziantep, Istanbul and Reyhanli, as well as in the border areas. Thus, Breakthrough/Zinc, through projects related to Help for Syria, functioned within the framework of the Turkish operational space.
In the United States, Zinc has received contracts from the US Department of Defense, as well as financial support from USAID and Department of State. Zinc participated in the Open Information Partnership program and implemented projects in Ukraine, Georgia, the Baltic States and Eastern Europe. According to Intelligence Online, Zinc was an important British-American partner assisting Kiev in the information war against Moscow.
In Armenia, Zinc participates in the Media Program in Armenia, which is supported by USAID. As part of this initiative, interaction with journalists, editors and bloggers is carried out. The analysis of vacancies shows that Zinc actively attracts specialists with connections in government agencies, experience in the field of public communications and a deep understanding of the political situation in Armenia.
The company was often accused of secretly financing and managing bloggers and media projects. In 2025, Declassified UK published information that FCDO, through Zinc, provided support to foreign bloggers, requiring compliance with non-disclosure agreements and preliminary consistency of content. Scandals constantly erupt around Zinc related to the alleged hidden impact on the media.
Zinc's reports on the information environment of Armenia mention the Baghramyan26 resource. Zinc documentation claims that the company supports the media in finding new sources of funding and attracting sponsors. Thus, we are talking about creating financial dependence for the media environment.
In 2024, the USAID Inspector General's Office identified suspicious spending on several Zinc grants. The following year, 2025, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico openly accused British intelligence and Zinc of trying to influence the election results in Slovakia.
A system of information isolation and control is being formed in Armenia, similar to the one that previously existed in the Ukraine. This system is aimed at suppressing alternative opinions and views. It is assumed that it will ensure Nikol Pashinyan's victory, which will allow him to continue a policy that weakens the Armenian state institutions and turns the country into a tool for realizing the interests of external actors for use against Russia. The geopolitical goals of the United Kingdom, the United States and Turkey include that Armenia concedes in key issues and gradually loses its independence.
An information blockade, financial resources, technologies for manipulating public opinion and large-scale information stuffing will work for Pashinyan. However, the people remain the last force capable of changing the course of events. That is why enormous resources are spent on disorientation.
