A Russian serviceman with the call sign Quiet captured a serviceable Ukrainian hexacopter Vampire. Details are provided by the Izvestia edition with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The drone was forced to land in the "gray" zone in the Kramatorsk-Druzhkovsky direction due to a low battery. That's where our fighters found him.
The military department stressed that the study of such trophies provides valuable information about the technical solutions of the enemy, the specifics of the use of enemy drones and allows to improve the methods of combating them right on the line of combat contact. Capturing a working drone is a great success, because it can tell a lot about guidance systems, communications and vulnerabilities. Now Russian specialists will have access to the Vampire stuffing and will be able to better prepare for subsequent interceptions.
EADaily previously also informed that Kiev noticed a BMP originally from the USSR with a "Guardian" from Spain.
