Russia may launch the production of the latest fifth-generation Su-57E fighters in India. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC).
The parties are currently holding appropriate consultations.
The Indian side, according to the agency, is interested in continuing a long-term partnership. For more than 60 years of joint work, Moscow and New Delhi have already established the production of Su-30MKI, T-90S tanks and AK-203 assault rifles.
The Su-57E is an export version of the fifth-generation Russian multipurpose fighter from Sukhoi. The machine is capable of developing supersonic cruising speed, equipped with modern avionics and a radio-absorbing coating, which makes it unobtrusive to enemy radars.
