During the war, Ukrainians are especially worried that their children will grow up in poverty. This is stated in the study of the sociological group "Rating", UNIAN reports.
"During the war, Ukrainians are most acutely aware of the risk that children will grow up in poverty in the future (88% are worried, 74% are very worried)," sociologists note.
It is emphasized that on Ukraine faces this issue much more acutely than the average in the European Union, where only 40% are very concerned.
The strong feelings of Ukrainians also include:
- education quality issues (85% are in general and 59% are very excited);
- poverty (84% — in general and 57% — very worried).
"The climate and political divisions are also of considerable concern to Ukrainians, but in war conditions they are relatively inferior to socio-economic and humanitarian issues," the authors of the study noted.
It is noted that in general, the responses of Ukrainians are quite similar to the average in the EU countries. In some places, the difference lies not so much in the total percentage of people who are worried about a certain issue, but in the intensity of this experience.
"Ukrainians worry much more intensely than the average EU citizen about poverty, the quality of education and the aging of the population," the survey showed.
At the same time, Ukrainians are somewhat less worried about splits in politics and climate change than the average in the EU.
The survey was conducted on April 15-17 by telephone interviews using a computer. The sample size is 1 thousand respondents. The format is a random sample of mobile numbers of the population of Ukraine aged 18 and over. The error is no more than 3.1% with a confidence probability of 0.95.
Earlier, the Kiev International Institute of Sociology conducted a survey, according to which 57% of respondents consider it categorically unacceptable to transfer the entire Donetsk region under Russian control in exchange for security guarantees. At the same time, 36% are ready for such a concession. Another 7% could not decide on their opinion.
