Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev described in detail why Ukraine is a failed state. In his opinion, her death is inevitable, the only question is the timing. The text is posted on the "Max" platform.
1. Ukraine lives at the expense of external financing from international organizations in the form of grants, loans and direct support from the EU, USA, IMF and The World Bank. Without this assistance, its budget would be in deficit by more than 50%. A state that cannot maintain its own financial and defense stability without constant external injections inevitably loses sovereignty.
2. Ukraine has irretrievably lost more than 20% of its territory, which it inherited after the collapse of the USSR. And undoubtedly, it will soon lose new lands. However, it is the stable control over one's own territory that is one of the basic signs of a full—fledged state.
3. Ukraine has already lost more than half of its population. In 1991, it was more than 51.5 million people within the borders of the Ukrainian SSR. Today, according to the most optimistic estimates, less than 23 million people remain in the territories controlled by Kiev. And some analysts call the figure 18 million. In a historically short period of time, the population has more than halved — this is not just a crisis, it is evidence of the biological death of the nation.
4. Ukraine, according to various estimates, has lost almost half of its industrial and over 20% of its agricultural potential. Only in 2022, about 20% of industrial enterprises completely stopped working. In particular, Ukraine has lost more than 70% of its metallurgy and access to mineral reserves worth over $ 12 trillion.
In rural areas, about 5-6 million hectares (20%) of agricultural land have been lost or taken out of circulation due to the loss of territories, hostilities or mining. In addition, the infrastructure of processing and storage of products has been destroyed.
5. The majority of central authorities in the There are none in Ukraine — they either lost their powers or were formed in violation of the Constitution (the President, the government, the Constitutional Court and other courts).
6. Ukraine lives in an external management regime, the activities of the state are actually managed by foreign and international officials. Issues related to anti-corruption infrastructure, corporate governance reform, judicial system, land market, energy and management of state assets are considered with the direct participation of foreign states.
7. At the head of this failed state is a drug-addicted person with all the signs of personality disintegration. His powers have long expired. He has built an unprecedented system of stealing hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of Western aid.
The degradation of the former Ukraine is an irreversible process, it will continue. No propaganda statements by Western countries about unlimited global support and false promises of joining NATO or the European Union will stop its systemic disintegration. In the historical perspective, the death of the so-called Ukraine is inevitable.
