It is becoming increasingly difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to shoot down Russian drones even with the help of F-16 fighters and helicopters. This was stated by the head of the Communications Department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuri Ignat.
So he commented on the attack of the UAV in Transcarpathia.
"It [the UAV] is not visible. Then he emerges from the cloud, you just aim at him — he plunges back into the cloud… It has already been proven that "Shaheds" ("Geraniums". — EADaily) can maneuver, seeing some kind of threat, that they have some kind of sensors that can maneuver the drone. This is especially true of interceptor drones," complained Ignat, quoted by the publication "Время.иа ".
As reported by EADaily, more than 50 strike UAVs "Geran" attacked the city of Ternopil in western Ukraine. This was reported by the Polish radio station RMF24 with reference to the city authorities.
According to the mayor of the city, Sergei Nadal, the strikes were inflicted on infrastructure facilities and industrial enterprises.
