Russia needs to completely change the philosophy of attracting labor resources from abroad, said publicist Egor Kholmogorov.
He admitted that the country really does not have enough people in some areas, and urged to turn to the experience of the Persian Gulf countries, namely, to the organizational set.
"People come for a specific job with a fairly strict stay regime. These are not free walks: you come, you live in a certain place, do a certain job and leave... The Gulf countries have proved that this scheme works, although their work deficit is not comparable to ours," Kholmogorov said on Sputnik radio.
The publicist advocates tighter control over migration and abandoning the outdated "philosophy" when they tried to attract additional population to the country and thoughtlessly distributed Russian passports.
