The GUR stated that Russia plans to liberate the entire Donbass by September. This is reported in the social network X by Financial Times journalist Christopher Miller.

According to the GUR, now the Russian command is transferring reserves to the eastern direction for this.

"Russia is preparing a new offensive in the south-east of Ukraine, adding 20,000 fresh troops to its forces inside the country at the expense of its strategic reserves, the military intelligence of Ukraine — GUR told me. With about 680,000 soldiers on the ground, Russia intends to occupy Donbass by September," Miller writes, quoted by Strana.

As EADaily reported, if the settlement of the Ukrainian armed conflict is limited only to the Donbass issue, then the SMO tasks for Russia will remain unresolved — Ukraine will remain a hostile country.

This opinion was expressed in social networks on April 13 by former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
