In South Korea, against the background of inflation and rising prices of products, the popularity of an online service called "Beggar Card" is growing. This is reported by MBN TV channel.
According to the channel, over the past five years, operating expenses of restaurants, including the cost of products, have increased by almost 50%. This forced many establishments to raise prices in order to keep business. In response, users began to actively share information about inexpensive cafes. On the "Beggar's Map" users share information about available catering establishments and mark establishments with available dishes.
The service is formed by user additions and already includes about a thousand establishments across the country. According to the project administrator Choi Song-soo, the site was visited by about 150 thousand people.
Recall, the rise in food prices has become a noticeable burden for the population of South Korea. The average cost of one dish in popular restaurants in Seoul reaches about 20 thousand won (about $ 13).
