As a result of the fall of fragments of an Iranian ballistic missile in southern Israel, a chemical plant caught fire. This was reported on March 29 by the Times of Israel newspaper with reference to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
"A fragment of a ballistic missile launched from Iran hit a chemical plant in southern Israel. ... No one was injured, but a fire broke out, raising concerns about the leakage of hazardous chemicals,"the publication says.
It is specified that there are no casualties as a result of the fire. Later, when the gorenje managed to be brought under control, the Ministry of Environmental Protection declared that there was no danger to the public.
