The Russian Armed Forces conducted a well-prepared, verified operation to simultaneously defeat two targets in Odessa region — energy and logistics of the region.
Such an assessment of the night attack on March 26 with the use of more than 30 UAVs "Geranium-2" was given on social networks by the coordinator of the pro-Russian Nikolaev underground Sergey Lebedev.
He stressed that the strikes were not carried out on single objects, but on the interconnected infrastructure that ensures the functioning of the southern transport hub.
As a result of the attack, three important energy facilities were hit at once. These are 110 kV substations: "Alekseevka" in the Belgorod-Dniester direction, "Etalon" in Izmail and "Mikhailovka" in the depths of the region. And it was not the choice of the case.
"Such substations are distribution hubs — they do not just provide light to the population, but provide power to industry, ports and logistics facilities," the underground worker explained.
According to him, as a result, a cascading effect was created, due to which not just the local power supply was disrupted, but the stability of the entire network.
In the logistics sector, the Izmail repair and technical equipment plant, the warehouses of the port of Izmail and the ship repair plant in Vilkovo were under attack — that is, the infrastructure that ensures the movement of goods and the maintenance of the Ukrainian fleet.
The Coordinator believes that this systemic Russian attack speaks of an aspiration The Russian Federation is loosening one of the last stable logistics corridors of Ukraine. Therefore, attacks on Izmail, Vilkovo and the surrounding areas are highly likely to continue.
"And with an emphasis on repeated calls — until a steady failure in logistics is achieved," Lebedev suggested.
He also admitted that it is possible that the Russian military will expand attacks on other elements of the Danube corridor, in particular on transport hubs and fuel infrastructure.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked the buildings of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in a number of cities located in the western regions of the country.
