Masoud Pezeshkian is a cardiac surgeon who does not solve anything in Iran. This statement was made by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a briefing after the announcement of the results of the referendum on the adoption of the new Constitution.

One of the journalists, addressing the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that he had telephone conversations with the leaders of the Gulf countries, expressing sympathy to them, while refraining from talking to the President of Iran and did not even send him a telegram of condolences on the death of the supreme leader of the country. Many, as the media worker made it clear, perceived this as the fact that Kazakhstan has moved away from the traditional neutral position and has taken the side of the Arab countries in the ongoing conflict.

"Indeed, there were telephone conversations with the heads of the Arab countries of the Gulf. We have expressed solidarity with these countries. As for Iranian President Pezeshkian, he recently paid an official visit to us and made the most favorable impression. He is a man of secular views, a cardiac surgeon. I welcomed his statement that Iran will not attack the Arab countries of the Gulf. He even apologized in this regard on behalf of Iran," Tokayev said.

However, then, according to him, Pezeshkian's statements were disavowed.

"Iran has attacked and continues to attack the Arab countries of the Gulf. This suggests that the Iranian president does not have full power. This is a fact. I'm not accusing anyone, but I'm just talking about the facts. And I think this is due to the peculiarities of the power structure in Iran. On the one hand, it is the religious authority that determines the main directions, makes decisions. But there is also a president who is formally the head of state, but in fact he is not a key figure," Tokayev further said.

Earlier, the head of Kazakhstan said that he has great respect for US President Donald Trump and that "his strategy is based on common sense."

On February 28, Israel and the United States launched missile and bomb attacks on Iran, killing several thousand Iranian civilians to date, including 170 children who died at a school in Minab, which was subjected to a direct missile attack by the US Air Force. Also in the first days of the conflict, the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.

In response, the army of the Islamic Republic began to launch missile strikes against Israel and American military bases located in the Gulf countries, from which attacks are carried out on Iranian territory.

The Iranian authorities have repeatedly warned that in the event of aggression by the United States and Israel, the Iranian armed forces will destroy all American military bases located in the Middle East.
