With those who decide to profit from criminal fraud, the conversation will be short. This was announced today, March 12, by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on measures to eliminate unjustified and unfair mediation.
The President of Belarus stressed that the issue stated in the subject of the meeting is always under his close attention, since it is one of the effective tools for reducing production costs. Lukashenko noted that the procurement legislation had been tightened, multifunctional centers for the sale of Belarusian equipment had been created abroad, but it was far from perfect and the problem could not be completely eradicated.
"It is necessary to draw a clear line separating reasonable mediation from unreasonable. In the state, no one is against a reasonable intermediary where it is objectively necessary (this is a small number of directions). But there are those who, in a difficult situation, think only about their own enrichment," Lukashenko demanded.
He also drew attention to the fact that artificially created chains of unnecessary intermediaries lead to corruption and money laundering. According to him, "this money should ideally work in the economy and go to the development of the country, to make people live better."
"Therefore, I have instructed the Deputy chairman of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, Alexander Nikolaevich Kosinets, to understand the situation in detail… It is necessary that every businessman knows (and not only a businessman): There will be a short conversation with those who decide to profit from criminal fraud... Green light and assistance only to those who work for the benefit and create something with their own hands," the Belarusian leader said.
Recall, according to law enforcement and regulatory authorities, a lot of offenses and abuses, including criminal ones, are detected annually in Belarus by intermediary structures in various fields. In 2025 alone, more than 400 crimes related directly to procurement procedures were established, not only in industrial, agricultural, but also in other areas. At the same time, over 50% are facts of receiving bribes.
