Kiev does not have enough money to buy weapons that are already in Rheinmetall warehouses. This was stated by Deutsche Welle The head of the German company is the head of Armin Papperger.

Weapons are stale due to the fact that Kiev cannot get blocked by Hungary and Slovakia, amid a dispute over the supply of Russian oil via the Druzhba pipeline, received a 90 billion euro loan from the EU.

"Europe has provided 90 billion, and 60 billion should go to ammunition and other equipment. But since there is no access to money, of course, it is impossible to place an order. We continue to produce most of the products. For example, now I have artillery ammunition in my warehouses, which I cannot sell on Ukraine," Papperger said.

In addition, according to him, there is a delay in signing new contracts, in particular for the supply of UAVs. We are talking about the FV-014 Raider barrage ammunition — a new weapon with a range of up to 100 km and a five-kilogram warhead, which is also planned to be supplied to the Bundeswehr.

"We offered it to Ukraine and said that we could supply about 200 pieces to begin with. But the situation is such that there is a big problem with financing," Papperger complained.

Rheinmetall "has not been able to conclude a contract with Ukraine for two or three months due to a delay in money," he added.
