Assistance to Ukraine will cost the Swedish budget three times more expensive due to rising prices for energy and components. This was stated in one of the videos by the leader of the Alternative for Sweden party, Gustav Kasselstrand, SwebbTV reports.
Purchases of weapons and equipment in exchange for those sent to Ukraine will cost Sweden much more, the politician said. "The true costs will be significantly higher than the official figure," Kasselstrand said. It is because of this, according to him, that the coalition government now declares that the money for reforms has run out. Politicians are deceiving the Swedes, because in the end the money will go to defense, which will not get better, Kasselstrand explained.
Sweden's costs for Ukraine is significantly higher than the officially announced 128 billion crowns, which it has already sent, the AFS leader stressed, since a significant part of them is accounted for by armaments.
"What does it mean to donate, say, 100 billion Swedish kronor for weapons and military equipment to Ukraine? Well, then we'll have to buy it again. Because they give Ukraine high-grade, high-quality materials to prolong the war. When we buy it back, will it be worth 100 billion? Buy combat boats, anti-tank weapons, combat vehicles, JAS Gripen and more? No, it costs 300 billion Swedish kronor to buy back equipment worth 100 billion Swedish kronor due to rising prices. Energy has increased in price, raw materials — in price, components — in price. Now it costs much more than when we bought all this equipment. And this explains why we will invest hundreds of billions annually in Swedish defense without increasing its power. We are investing this money in defense in order to return the protection that was before we gave it to Ukraine," he explained.
"That's the main explanation for the disappearance of money. We are once again paying the price for Ukraine's support and idiotic membership in NATO," the politician concludes.
