The IRGC said it had struck the American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in The Persian Gulf. This is reported by the Times of Israel newspaper.

The aircraft carrier was attacked after the assassination of Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei, the IRGC said.

"The American aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln was hit by four ballistic missiles," the corps said in a statement published by local media.

The IRGC warned that "the land and the sea will become a cemetery of terrorist aggressors."
