Estonia has increased imports of activated carbon from Russia to record values. This is evidenced by statistics.

According to Eurostat, in 2025, Estonian companies increased imports of Russian activated carbon by 16.8% in annual terms — up to 490.7 thousand euros. The amount of purchases has reached a record since 1988.

According to the results of last year, the Russian Federation rose to 4th place among the largest suppliers of activated carbon in Estonia with a share of 7.6% of all deliveries. At the same time, a year ago the country closed the top five major exporters. In addition to Russia, India (28.5%), the Philippines (24.8%), Thailand (10.6%) and Germany (6.9%) entered the top 5 last year.
