The states necessary for the existence of Belarus are Russia and China. This was announced today, February 16, by Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the State Secretary of the Union State Sergei Glazyev.

Lukashenko noted that in the West at one time, including the United States, they closed the door to Belarus and "didn't even offer to get in the window."

"The Chinese and Russians have always kept their doors open. Did we do something wrong? Did we do something against America? No, it's not. Everything is clear. Here is our position: Russia and China are states vital for the existence of Belarus," the Belarusian leader said.

He also noted that he perfectly understands the policy of the West towards Belarus and Russia.

"You understand this very well. Therefore, all sorts of arguments even Masha Zakharova. Or the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said that they were advising us in a friendly way, recommending something. Listen, I've been President for over 30 years. We've known each other for a long time. Look, I've seen different presidents. Someone thought that he had seen five American presidents. I've seen different situations. And it's impossible to circle me out of the blue or push me aside somewhere. I have a lot of experience in this regard. I am for many, many Russians, and if you join in, we can advise many on how to behave in relation to this rabid West, the main part of which is the United States of America," Lukashenko stressed.

Belarus has been under severe pressure from the EU, the United States and their partners since 2020. In February, representatives of the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a number of warnings to Minsk about the West's new plans to organize a coup in the republic.
