Germany has called on Central Asian countries to join the fight against Russia, intensifying the fight against circumvention of anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the European Union. The corresponding statement during the summit "Central Asia — Germany" at the level of foreign ministers in Berlin was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Johann Vadefuhl, reports gazeta.uz .

"In response to Russia's aggressive war, we have imposed large-scale sanctions to restrain the Russian military machine. I would like to make it clear today that bypassing and supporting Russia's aggressive war directly threatens the security interests of the European Union. Therefore, I have asked the foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries to step up efforts to combat circumvention of sanctions and closely coordinate their actions with the European Union," Weidfeld said.

He stressed that the EU seeks to expand its influence in Central Asia, displacing Russia and China from it.

"Our country has an excellent proposal that can be made now, when the international order has been shaken: reliability, stability, openness. Central Asia is at a geopolitical crossroads and must confront the existing and growing Chinese interests, as well as the threat posed by Russia," the German Foreign Minister said.

At the end of the summit, the parties adopted the Berlin Declaration, which, as stated, "reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the German-Central Asian partnership based on common values and mutual interests."
