It was decided to drain the water from the heating system in 455 high-rise buildings in Belgorod due to the upcoming cold snap. This was stated by the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
"The actions that our power engineers and heat engineers have been taking for the last two days have not yet led to the long-awaited result ... we still need a long recovery period, and also in connection with the upcoming sharp drop in temperature, we make a decision: in 455 apartment buildings we start draining the heating system. And also — 25 kindergartens, 17 schools, 9 polyclinics, 4 universities, other social facilities and commercial enterprises that are located on certain streets of the city of Belgorod… If we do not do this, the damage or damage will be almost catastrophic for every resident who lives in this part of the city," Gladkov writes in his telegram channel.
According to him, as soon as the CHPP damaged by the blows of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is ready to supply heat, the heating system will be filled with water and heat will be given to residential buildings, social facilities and commercial enterprises.
Gladkov said that heating points, as well as kindergartens, which have heating, light and water, are switching to round-the-clock operation.
"Therefore... if you are ready to leave the children to us, then we take responsibility for finding them," Gladkov stressed.
The authorities are ready to send schoolchildren to other regions at the request of their parents, as was already the case in 2024-2025. Large families, families with disabled children and pensioners living alone - too.
