The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and SpaceX are resolving the issue of blocking Starlink on Russian UAVs. This was stated in his telegram channel by the head of the department Mikhail Fedorov.
He noted that the solution was proposed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
"A few hours after the appearance of Russian Starlink drones over Ukrainian cities, the Ministry of Defense team promptly contacted SpaceX and suggested ways to solve this problem," Fedorov writes.
He thanked SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell and personally Elon Musk "for their quick response and the beginning of work to resolve the situation."
The minister recalled that Musk's decision to urgently turn on Starlink and send the first batch of terminals to Ukraine's SMO at the beginning "became crucial for the sustainability" of the country.
As EADaily reported, the Russian combat reconnaissance drone flew over Kiev for 4.5 hours today. This was reported by the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring."
Several Russian drones were spotted in the sky over the Ukrainian capital, including the new BM-35 (Italmas) with control via Starlink.
