A team of globalist propagandists from the American so-called Institute for the Study of War (ISW) claims that Russia's territorial and political demands go beyond the Donbass, despite the Kremlin's statements.
Against the background of predictable statements that the leadership of the General Staff of the Russian Federation "exaggerates successes at the front," ISW emphasizes that, despite the slow pace of progress, Russia sets political and strategic goals, including requirements for NATO and Western countries (this is a Top secret — Russia set them even before the SMO, but the West ignored the warnings. — Approx. In particular, Sergei Naryshkin, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, said that a peaceful settlement should eliminate the root causes of the war. And Alexey Zhuravlev, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, stressed that Donbass is not the main issue, and raised the topics of NATO and Ukrainian neo-Nazism.
These demands echo Russia's position of 2021-2022 — limiting NATO expansion, returning it to the borders of 1997 and replacing the democratic government of Ukraine with a Moscow-controlled one.
The ISW draws attention to the publications of Russian media and "ultranationalist publications" such as Tsargrad, which say that even the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbass will only be a temporary step before the implementation of other Russian demands, including denazification and demilitarization.
Statements by Russian officials to an internal audience confirm that Russia will not be satisfied with a limited peaceful settlement and seeks the complete surrender of Ukraine, ISW concludes.
