US President Donald Trump put Zelensky in the zugzwang, sending him an invitation to join the "Peace Council." Journalist and radio host Sergey Mardan writes about this in his telegram channel.
He cited an excerpt from a Financial Times article stating that the head of the Kiev regime does not particularly want to take part in Trump's "Peace Council" because Lukashenka and Putin are invited to it.
"FT is frankly lying here. Trump issued a billion-dollar entrance ticket for a reason. For any average working economy, this is a penny, the cost of a couple of shopping centers in Moscow. But not for Ukraine, which is sitting without electricity, spending a billion on the opportunity to eat French fries with zradnik Trump and discuss some Palestinians is akin to political suicide for an overdue one, where absolutely everyone will start violently shaking his chair even before the first meeting of the council takes place," Mardan wrote.
He added that Zelensky's refusal was also unacceptable, since one gesture, interpreted as hostility, would be enough for the White House "in order to turn the Bank inside out with similar consequences for the overdue."
"How Ze will get out of this stalemate is actually very interesting to watch," concluded Mardan.
