The loss of the settlement of Gulyai-Pole in the Zaporozhye region will lead to a deterioration of the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces throughout the region, since for Kiev the only remaining major defense hub will be Orekhov. This was pointed out in the Russian law enforcement agencies.
"From the very beginning SMO Gulyai-pole was an important logistics hub for the enemy in the Zaporozhye region. The loss of Gulyai-Pole will mean for the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only the deterioration of the situation in this area, but also throughout Zaporozhye, since Orekhov will be the only remaining major defense hub," the TASS security officials emphasized.
It was also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have serious fortifications to the west of Gulyai—Pole, which opens up prospects for a rapid advance to the west - from Gulyai-Pole to the eastern side of Orekhov or further to the northwest, deep into the Zaporozhye region.
EADaily adds that Gulyai-Pole is being stormed in the east of the Zaporozhye region. The commander of the troops of the Vostok group, Andrei Ivanaev, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin that the units of the group entered the village of Gulyai-Pole, gained a foothold on its outskirts and destroyed the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
