Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told reporters about his communication with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"I respected Angela Merkel… She even yelled at me sometimes. It wasn't good. In any case, more than my wife ... but she is an open person, an intellectual," said the head of the Hungarian government in the podcast MD Meets, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Viktor Orban, the ex-Chancellor has never used the power to impose her opinion. She was ready to listen and discuss other people's arguments, the prime minister said.
At the same time, Viktor Orban continued, he has always agreed with the Chancellor almost one hundred percent on Europe's strategic interests and relations with Russia.
Earlier, the Civey Institute conducted a survey in Germany and it turned out that a quarter of Germans continue to miss the times of Angela Merkel, who was the German chancellor from 2005 to 2021.
