The PR campaigns of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Kiev authorities cover up the defeats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but do not change reality. Ukraine is heading for a strategic defeat and in a few months Russian troops will approach major cities in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. Julian Repke, a journalist from the German Bild, who is known for his anti-Russian sentiments, writes about this on X.

"I have published few strategic analytical materials in recent weeks. One of the reasons for this is the dynamic and steadily deteriorating situation of the Ukrainian armed forces in the south—east of the country, as well as in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions," Julian Repke writes on the social network.

In his opinion, the emerging Ukraine can no longer be silenced either by the PR campaigns of the Ukrainian General Staff or by the attempts of the government in Kiev to downplay or ignore it: Ukraine is moving towards strategic defeat.

"Ukrainian journalists and activists have now realized the seriousness of the situation. However, neither the Ukrainian army nor its Western partners are learning the necessary lessons from their past mistakes in the war against Russia," the journalist believes.

He gives an example of the fact that more than 2,000 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored vehicles supplied are practically useless in light of Russia's growing dominance in fiber-optic and other unmanned aerial vehicle systems.

"Instead of supporting Ukraine with "weapons of mass destruction" in the modern sense of the word, that is, millions of FPV drones, as well as thousands of highly effective cruise missiles for low—altitude strikes, Western countries continue to limit themselves to sporadic assistance and investments in strategically overvalued Ukrainian long-range drones," notes Julian Repke.

The Ukrainian government, in his opinion, is also not taking the situation too seriously.

"Where the alleged 17,000 people mobilized monthly are actually stationed remains a mystery to most observers and soldiers on the front line. Desertion and temporary absence from service, due to which entire brigades often exist only on paper, mostly go unpunished. This leads not only to miscalculations in assessing the own strength and combat capability of the troops, but also to the formation of huge gaps at the front and, as a result, to new breakthroughs of Russia," the German journalist continues.

According to him, the territory controlled by Ukraine decreased by another 586 square kilometers in October, and a new annual record of territorial losses is likely to be set in November.

"This makes possible monthly losses of troops comparable in number to the German federal state of Berlin. Russian offensives in the areas adjacent to the major cities of Dnipro and Zaporozhye are now a matter of just a few months, a maximum of one or two years," writes Repke. "The fact remains that if the government in Kiev or its Western partners do not make immediate strategic changes, Russia will gradually win this war."

A terrifying prospect — with devastating geopolitical consequences for the whole world, adds the Bild journalist.
