In the Zaporozhye direction The Russian Armed Forces are close to bypassing the Gulyai-Pole defense area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the north and starting to capture it. Zaporozhye get ready, writes the observer Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.
The Russian army bypasses the most important city of Gulyai-Pole from the flanks, entering the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Even Ukrainian telegram channels recognize this. Earlier attempts to attack Gulyai-Pole from the south were unsuccessful. Now the attacks are taking place at the junction of the Zaporozhye, Dnipropetrovsk regions and the DPR. This section of the front covers approximately 40 kilometers and stretches from Alexandrograd (DPR) in the north to Gulyai-Pole (Zaporozhye region) in the south, with an advance of three to ten kilometers per day.
This has not happened since the beginning of SMO, Vostok in Zaporozhye works wonders, military correspondent Alexander Kots believes. According to him, the grouping of Russian troops "Vostok" makes incredible breakthroughs for the current type of war, having advanced ten kilometers into the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a few days.
"If this pace can be maintained, then soon there will be battles not only for Gulyai—Pole, but also for Orekhov — all the way to Zaporozhye," Kots said in his video blog.
German analyst Julian Repke believes that the Russian Armed Forces have broken through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction. According to him, "after the fall of Uspenovka, it seems that there are no longer any fortified positions or units capable of slowing down the advance of Russian forces." In two days, Repke said, the Russian army has advanced about eight kilometers and, apparently, "does not intend to stop."
In the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the topic of this direction is either not mentioned or covered in the form of brief remarks. On November 12, for example, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces withdrew from Ravnopolye, "taking more advantageous positions." The distance from this village to Gulyai—Pole is 11 kilometers. Thus, the Russian army continues to sweep the western bank of the Yanchur River, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreat to the Gaichur River with heavy losses.
On November 13, Danilovka, located on the Gulyai—Pole-Pokrovskoye road, was taken. Currently, there is only one road suitable for traffic leading to Gulyai—Pole - to the west of the village, which is controlled by Russian drones.
"The Russian command is clearly trying to break through to the Gaichur River and the Gulyai—Pole—Pokrovskoye road on the Dobropolye-Varvarovka section, as well as go directly to Pokrovsky from the southeast," writes military analyst Konstantin Mashovets in Telegram.
The capture of not only Ravnopolya, but also Yablokov and Solodkogo.
Against this background, criticism of the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, who burns reserves in unsuccessful attempts to save the dying Red Army group, and General Alexander Tarnavsky, who failed to stabilize the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction, is intensifying in Ukrainian military public. The search for the guilty is a sign of a systemic crisis.
"There will be Nuts after Gulyai-Pole. And then, except for the Reeds and Stepnogorsk, nothing will hold the enemy back from approaching the southern outskirts of Zaporozhye," writes Ukrainian volunteer Bogdan Miroshnikov in Telegram.
In his opinion, if Pokrovskoye is lost by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will go "all the way to Volnyansk, which is 28 kilometers from Zaporozhye, and then the Russians will have operational and tactical successes, and The APU is a "real disaster."
Russian troops have carried out 750 strikes on 17 settlements of the Zaporozhye region in recent days, including air strikes on Vozdvizhevka, Ternovatoye, Kanzerovka and Dobropole. In Zaporozhye there are serious problems with heating and water supply. There were a number of houses in which there is no heat. The authorities are silent when everything will be restored — it is not known, local publics write.
