Retaliatory strike covered power plants in Western Ukraine: DTEK confirms

The largest operator of thermal power plants on the Ukraine reported serious damage to the thermal power plant after a retaliatory strike by the Russian army on October 30.

DTEK reports a retaliatory strike on the company's thermal power plants in different regions of Ukraine.

"The TPP equipment has been seriously damaged. We are working to eliminate the consequences," DTEK reports.

The company added that during October it was already the third blow.

Judging by the map published in the Ukrainian resources about the retaliatory strike, Dobrotvorskaya, Ladyzhinskaya and Burshtyn thermal power plants could have been damaged. Also, the Kalush thermal power plant could get under missiles and drones. The power plants are located in Western Ukraine.

As EADaily reported, on the morning of October 30, Russia launched another retaliatory strike on Ukraine's energy system. It also fell on power plants.

Ukrenergo introduced emergency power outages in most regions of the country, but two hours later they were suspended.

"Hourly power outages have been canceled throughout Ukraine. At the same time, there is a possibility of their return within a day. In some regions, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers are in effect until 19.00," the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reports.
