Singer and blogger Instasamka (Daria Zoteeva) plans to change her stage name, which is derived from the name of the banned in Russian social network Instagram*. She stated this in an interview with journalist, TV presenter and blogger Ksenia Sobchak.
"There will be no nickname "Instasamka". I change my name and leave it in the memory of all people. We did everything we could with her," said the artist.
According to her, the last album to be released on behalf of Instasamka is Rich Witch, which is divided into two parts, 11 tracks each. In addition, she intends to release the third part of the Rich Witch album with invited Russian-speaking and not only artists, it will be an album of features on those tracks that were released earlier.
"Insta prefix"…I already understand the situation like this… I am constantly told: "insta, insta." I'm kind of here (in Russia — ed.), there are a lot of questions for me, and plus, of course, I'm already tired of this," the singer said.
Sobchak asked a clarifying question about the status of the social network as banned.
"Well, sort of. Instagram* is banned, and I Instasamka," the singer confirmed.
"Madonna? Magdalena?", — suggested Sobchak.
Instasamka confirmed that the new stage name will indeed have the letter "M", but refused to name it because the trademark has not yet been registered.
